Bloggers
Ok, well I hadn't realized how big Blogs were at first but I have been learning more and more about this new craze and I think I've even encouraged and ex to do one. Well anyway there is a young reporter named Michael Yon who has been doing an excellent job of reporting events here in Mosul. In fact I'd argue that he has done far better reporting then any of the major networks. The difference is all of his reporting has been documented on his Blog. I wanted to pass along this link. It has a ton of entries and goes back months. I hesitated to point everyone in the direction of this link because Michael doesn't hold back on what has been going on. Don't get my wrong he doesn't describe anything gory he just talks about what has happened. I tend to not mention a lot of the stuff around here in an attempt to calm some nerves. I would like everyone to take a few seconds and check out Michael's blog though. I think he deserves some good attention and I hope we see his name attached to news for a long time.

Michael has been around since Jan 2005. I've deen reading his dispatches for months. He has obviously earned the respect of the soldiers he is living with since he is allowed to accompany them just about everywhere. Unfortunately, the MSM doesn't choose to do any reporting of his style. That's why we choose to include blogs as part of our news sources. Everytime I read my daily newspaper I swear I am going to cancel it. Now I just skim by the Iraq stories without giving them much credence.
hmm.. love this thoughts..
